Maryland Resident Agent Service
We built our business on providing resident agent service. A professional, reliable resident agent service keeps your company compliant with state requirements for Maryland businesses to maintain a resident agent. As your Maryland resident agent, we receive service of process and accept correspondence from the state on your behalf. We upload scanned documents to your secure online account and notify you the same day, so you can take action sooner rather than later. And we think your business deserves more than the bare minimum! In addition to performing the usual duties of accepting documents and notifying you, we’ve built out an entire suite of services to support your business.
Compliance Service
Qualified clients who retain us for resident agent service—that is, clients who need not file a Business Personal Property Tax Return—are automatically enrolled in our Compliance Service. Enrollment costs nothing, and when the time comes, we’ll collect the information necessary to file your annual report accurately and on-time. You’ll pay just $100 plus Maryland’s own fees when we submit the filing on your behalf. If you’d rather file yourself, you can always opt out from your client account, and either way, we’ll send you regular reminders to help you stay on the right side of that potential $500 late fee.
Online Business Presence
Once you’ve launched your company, you’ll need to get the word out there that you’re open for business. Whether you’ve hired us for business formation or resident agent service only, we’ll give you the tools you need to create an entire digital identity you own and control at no upfront cost. You can choose a custom branded domain, then get a business website and up to 10 professional email addresses at that domain. Plus, you’ll get a no-contract business line with a local Maryland phone number you can use through our iOS or Android apps. Your domain is free for the first year (up to $25 in value) and every other service is free for the first 90 days; after that, you’ll pay just $9/month for only the services you want to keep—and you’ll get a 20% discount if you keep them all.
Business Formation Service
Maryland LLCs
Start your LLC the easy way. We’ll file your Articles of Organization right the first time. You’ll get immediate access to your secure online account, where you can view and manage business documents like your state filings, resident agent mail (because we include a year of resident agent service with our business formation service!), and freebies like an operating agreement template you can customize to suit your business needs. You’ll also be automatically enrolled in our Compliance Service and receive a free trial of our Online Business Presence to make sure your business is set up to succeed.
Maryland Corporations
Incorporating instead? We can do that too. Our incorporation filing service works just like our LLC organization service, just for that fancy “Inc.” or “Co.” instead. We’ll file your Articles of Incorporation. You’ll get a year of resident agent service, a template for your initial resolutions and corporate bylaws, and your secure online account grants you access to a forms library with everything you need to support your growing company. We’ll also set you up with an Online Business Presence so you can start connecting with customers right away, and you’re automatically enrolled in our Compliance Service so we can help you keep up with state compliance filing.
Out-of-State Registration Service
Companies looking to expand into Maryland need to register their foreign, or out-of-state, businesses with the State Department of Assessments & Taxation (SDAT). When you hire us to handle that for you, we’ll take care of getting your Certificate of Good Standing (required to file for out-of-state registration) as part of the filing process. You’ll get all the same benefits as our local clients: a year of resident agent service, limited business mail forwarding, access to our forms library for all your filing needs through your online account, and of course, expert support from our Maryland filing experts.
